UPDATED RECIPE: Homemade Sloppy Joes

A few years ago, I put a recipe on my blog for homemade sloppy joes. At the time, I thought it would be a great recipe, that everyone would want to see, and would get tons of page views. Nope, no luck. Why? I am almost embarrassed to link to that recipe, but if you click here, you can see why it flopped. Bad, right? So I decided to re-do the recipe with real pictures, and real instructions. It is amazing how over the course of 2 years, I have learned to make better recipe posts on my blog. Creamed Chicken Over Biscuits

Winter has decided that it wants to stick around for a bit. I am not too happy about that, but since I can't command Mother Nature, I guess I just have to deal. So, instead of dwelling on it, I decided to warm up our dinner meal on Monday by making a favorite crockpot recipe: creamed chicken over biscuits. This is an easy, tasty, and warm-you-up type of recipe. Since the crockpot does most of the work, it makes it the perfect meal for those in between type of days. Creamed Chicken Over Biscuits So with a just a few ingredients, and a few minutes, you will have a recipe that is sure to please your family members. My youngest is very … [Read more...]

Menu Plan Monday 03.24.14

Belated, thanks to all the snow. GRRR! So not only do I have to plan for us, but for the busy nights we will be out running. Oh well, the planning must go on. Monday: Tonight's meal is crockpot creamed chicken. My youngest actually eats it, so I am not complaining! I will hopefully have a recipe for it to post next week. Tuesday: French toast and turkey bacon. I also have strawberries, blueberries, and apples to use as toppings. Wednesday: Velveeta … [Read more...]

Favorite Post Friday On January 10th

Okay, I am not much of a crafty girl. In fact, I am completely missing that gene in my body. My best friend is the one that does all the crafting, so I live vicariously through her, and even help enable her with her craft obsession. Please take a moment to check out her creations at The Scrapbook Blessings Club. So, onto the meat of my post. Or is it the recipe? In any case, it was a lot of fun.
