Thankful Thursday~Last Week In March

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name”~ Psalm 100:4 (NIV)

Normally I blog a Thankful Thursday post about several different things that I am thankful for during the week. Generally it is a little of this, a little of that. Some huge, some minor, but all of them important. It has been quite a while since I was led to blog about the things I am thankful for.  Not that I haven’t been thankful, just I haven’t felt the need to share them with my blog viewers. But with Holy Week upon, I feel the need to thank God for his blessings.

  • I am so thankful for our home.  I am so lucky to have my home, and sometimes I take it for granted.  I am excited to start our new home improvement project that we will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
  • I am thankful for my husband.  If you look back over my other Thankful Thursday posts, you will see that is a common theme.  I am so blessed to have him in my life.  We will be married 16 years this May, and I love him even more.
  • I am thankful that I have 2 great kids.  They can drive me crazy sometimes, but I wouldn’t trade them for anyone in the world!
  • I am thankful for my MIL.  She is truly a woman who gives without any thought of receiving, does this joyfully without complaint, and is a great friend as well.

Sometimes I take for granted for all the wonderful blessings in my life.  But this week, with Easter rapidly approaching, I remember that none of these things would be possible without the sacrifices Jesus made for us.

Thankful Thursday~My Spouse

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name”~ Psalm 100:4 (NIV)

Normally I blog a Thankful Thursday post about several different things that I am thankful for during the week.  Generally it is a little of this, a little of that.  Some huge, some minor, but all of them important. Today I feel compelled to get more specific on my post.  So this week I am completely thankful for my wonderful husband.  Why you ask?  Let’s see, where to begin:

  • He does absolutely anything and everything for our family.
  • He has a kind heart and level head.
  • He gets up on his day off to drive me to work so I don’t have to deal with crazy people and their driving.
  • He will fold and put away laundry, even after working close to 60 hours a week.
  • He will cut the grass, even after working all day, putting away the laundry, coaching baseball, and taking care of his family.
  • He loves me no matter how dumb I can be.
  • He never hesitates to unload and reload the dishwasher if I am not feeling well.

As you can see, I am very proud of my wonderful husband.  God certainly knew what He was doing when he got us together.  I wouldn’t be half the person I am today if it wasn’t for my husband.  I love you honey, now, tomorrow, forever and always!
