Healthy living is always something we strive for. Whether it is what we eat, how we exercise, and especially how we deal with stress. Earlier this week, I was discussing the importance of eating breakfast and how it relates to healthy living.
What to know how it’s going? Read on.
I have to report that I have made a little bit of progress with it. Since writing this post on Tuesday, I actually have eaten breakfast 3 times since then. I want to say that it was easy and made an immediate difference.
But that would be a lie.
I really would have rather had that extra fifteen minutes of sleep. Especially since I had to be at work at 7am yesterday and today. So, both days have been fueled with coffee as breakfast. Tasty, but not exactly healthy. I promise, I will keep working on it.
My other big thing was drinking way too much Turkey Hill Iced Tea. It is so my favorite, and I really hate to give it up. But, it is another habit I need to break. Now. I am done to my last gallon of it. Crystal from Tidbits of Experience brought up a valid point: don’t bring any into the house, so you aren’t tempted to drink it. So no more.
At least I hope not.
Exercise is another hot topic for me. I just can’t motivate myself to do it right now. One of my favorite things to do during the Spring and summer is to go outside for a walk. It really makes me feel better, and I get time to just be alone with my thoughts.
Generally I take my dog with me, as she enjoys being out for a walk. She will be 13 this May, so she can’t keep up like she used to. When I do go for walks, I tend to power walk, so I don’t want her to end up being hurt or sore.
So that’s where I am right now as far as my healthy living plan goes. It’s not much, but at least it is a start.
