The Simple Woman’s daybook is one of my favorite blog memes to do. I always get lots of comments, visits, and encouragement when I write it. My daybook always combines little parts of my everyday life. Sometimes I feel like my life takes on such a hectic pace. Blogging about my week helps me to see what my week is like, and maybe figure out how to slow things down a bit. So I hope that you enjoy this post. And join in with the Simple Woman’s daybook as well.
Outside my window… It is starting to snow. So much for the groundhog’s prediction!
I am thinking… That I am ready for baseball season to start. Believe it or not, we start practice at the end of this month, and I am looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. And I am also thinking that I really don’t want to go shopping for a new car, but we really can’t wait much longer.
I am thankful… I am thankful that my new job allows me to be home on the weekends with my family! I am also thankful that Nana is getting stronger everyday! Also thankful for 2 boys that are doing extremely well in school!
In the kitchen… This will be my third week in a row of planning and making meals. Come back tomorrow to see my Menu Plan Monday post.
I am wearing… Still in my pj’s. My youngest is sick, so I am staying home with him while DH and DS#1 go to church.
I am creating… An organized house, at least I hope to. I managed to clean out 3 cabinets in the kitchen that were absolute disasters, and boy did I feel like I accomplished something.
I am going… To tackle my to-do list, and not just talk about it. I also want to work on more blog posts, including reading and writing more Simple Woman’s daybooks.
I am wondering... If Spring will make an early appearance this year. Considering there is an inch of snow on the ground, I am not too sure. The groundhog says so, but I don’t think I believe him.
I am reading… Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. And yes, it’s because I want to see the movie next weekend.
I am hoping… That things will slow down before baseball season starts back up.
I am looking forward to… Just being with my family. And making our home a haven. I am starting to look forward to vacation in June, and hopefully a road trip in July.
I am learning…That life is short, you have to make the most of it before it’s too late.
Around the house… Just trying to keep things presentable. Making sure I am making the beds daily, and that the sink is empty. It really makes a big difference. And doing at least one load of laundry a day. I am also trying to keep up with ironing.
I am pondering… About several things. In a previous daybook post, I talked about making a change. I did make that change. Here’s the catch: it has made this harder financially on our family. I feel guilty because the hours really work well for me, physically & emotionally. I am happy at work now, something I haven’t in a long while. But like I said, it’s made it harder on my hubby because I don’t make as much as I used to. So while I love my new position and new hours, I would be selfish to keep doing it if it is making it harder on him.
A favorite quote for today… “Can we play????” Wait, didn’t I say that in my last post?
One of my favorite things… Days off with hubby, cuddling on the couch and just relaxing together
A few plans for the rest of the week:
