Hi everyone! Sandy here from Scrapbook Blessings Club, your go to place to see tips, tutorials and techniques for the everyday crafter, beginner to advance. I am so excited to be a guest poster for Making Our Life Matter!
Jen asked me to make a quick and easy craft tutorial for the upcoming holiday. So let’s get started…
Today, I am going to show you how to make easy paper pumpkins. These are great to make with kids, especially if you have a group. They also make great “place cards” for your Thanksgiving table or just to decorate in a pretty bowl on the table and not worry about little fingers breaking something expensive.
Easy Paper Pumpkin Craft
1. Cut (9) strips of cardstock (it is heavier than regular paper and will hold up better) that will measure 1×6″. After you cut your strips, punch holes on both ends for all of them.
2. Stack your strips of paper together to make a stack and place the brads through the holes. Lightly spread the brad tails out. (Not too tight so you can’t move the paper.)
3. Start to spread apart your strips. They will naturally curve as you spread them apart. (This is why you don’t want your brads pushed down to tight.)
4. Using a dollop of glue, fasten the leaves you made from the green cardstock and button. Make sure you press them together while the glue starts to dry. (I also cut a strip of brown paper to make a little embellishment)
