Earlier in the week, I shared with my readers about 6 reasons why you need to stay at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort Orlando. Our vacation at Universal Studios Orlando was one of our most memorable of 2016. I want to share with you the Loews Royal Pacific Resort Orlando grounds so you can make the decision as to why you should stay on-site.
As my readers know, in August of 2016 we embarked on what we affectionately call Florida Road Trip 2016. We started planning this trip as part of the college search process for our oldest son. My wonderful husband then surprised me with the idea that we would also be able to visit Universal Studios Orlando. Sweet!
So we started the planning process a year before our scheduled trip. As you are well aware of, I am a bookseller, so my first step in planning this trip was to raid our travel section and grab planning books for Universal and Walt Disney World. When we met with our travel agent, it made it easy to make the decision to stay on-site at Loews Royal Pacific Resort Orlando.
About the Loews Royal Pacific Resort Orlando Grounds:
One of the nicest impressions the Loews Royal Pacific Resort Orlando makes is even before you get to the check-in desk. Check out this amazing walkway!
It certainly screams Pacific paradise. This view is actually from the front door and looks out to where the parking area is. Keep in mind, there is a daily parking fee of $22 at the resort. Even with that, it was still worth staying on-site. It is a come-and-go fee, so it is well worth it.
One of the nicest areas comes into view when you enter the front doors:
If you had time to sit and do nothing, this is the place to hang out! But we were anxious to get our experience started, as we had a dinner reservation at the T-Rex Cafe Disney Springs. So we headed to the check-in desk to get ready for our stay.
Check in was easy, and we each received a themed room key. I loved that it was not only practical(we could charge food and souvenirs to our room, awesome perk!)but it also became a souvenir as well! The staff at the front desk were really pleasant and helpful, and it wasn’t long before we headed up to our room.
I just realized that while we time in our room, we weren’t there long enough for me to get a bunch of pictures. Here are two that I did take.
All the rooms were recently renovated and were very comfortable. I have to say, I saw a few room reviews on other sites, and I don’t understand why people were complaining about the size of the bathroom area. For our family of 4, it was more than adequate. The separate sink and toilet area was extremely convenient and we never had any problems getting ready in the morning.

One of my favorite views was the under-the-entrance-walkway waterfall. You could see it while dining at Jake’s American Bar or while heading to the pool entrance and the dock for the boat.
Then there is the gorgeous walkway that you enjoyed when headed to the parks.
And the gated entrance to the amazing swimming pool. I think I will share more about the pool area in a separate post, because it was SO amazing.
And a view from our top floor hotel room.
Vacation is always an exciting time, and planning is one of the best parts. I hope that my post sharing about the Loews Royal Pacific Resort grounds will help you make an informed decision about staying on-site when the time comes!
