It’s hard to believe that’s it has been one year already since I began “Making Our Life Matter”. There were some weeks where I wrote daily blog posts, and there was a few months when I skipped blogging entirely. I joined several blogging communities, got really involved in them and then stop, and even started my own. I shared great times, good memories, and some not so nice experiences. Running and maintaining your blog on your own domain is hard work. Some days I want to pull my hair out when I can’t get my theme from my head to the screen. Other times I feel like I have no clue why I am doing this. I get discouraged from lack of comments, very low page views, and little or no inspiration. But you know what? I wouldn’t change any of it. I am looking forward to seeing what the New Year will bring, and hope that you will too!
What would you like to see on my blog?

I hear ya on all of this. I only recently started blogging again after letting my site sit for a year and a half. I also blogged for about two years back in 2004, which were pretty much the dark ages of blogging. I wish I had never let the first blog go. I documented a lot of things on there that I can’t get back now. Stopping by from SITS!

Thanks so much for stopping in! I have started and stopped, continued and deleted more blogs than I care to admit. This is the first time I have gone a whole year while being self-hosted. There are some days where I think “What Am I Doing?” Other times I can’t imagine NOT having this blog! Have a wonderful week!

Congrats on your blogiversary! It is a labor of love. My advice to yu is to write like no one is reading and then be surprised when people do. it is very freeing!

Thanks Pam! I am definitely trying to do that. I took almost 6 weeks off at the end of the year, so I think that may help!
Congrats on the anniversary! Stopping by from SITS today!

Happy anniversary! Blogging is definitely an up and down roller coaster ride, but it’s a lot of fun on the way.

Congratulations on your one year blogiversary, too! I’m with you on the ups and downs of it all. It’s great to have a creative outlet like a blog, and I’m glad you’re sticking with it!
BTW, I really like the way you change your blog design from time to time. I’m sooooo not good at those technical aspects of blogging.

Thanks Elaine. Trust me, it is not an easy thing to do. I am totally confused with the whole SEO thing, but I think that will be part of my blog goals list!
Yea! I love those mile stones! Has it just been one year? It seems like you’ve been blogging longer than that!
I know what you mean. It can be a tough business!

You are so right, Esther! I have been blogging longer. But this is the first time I have paid for hosting, and purchased my own domain. So that is the anniversary I am celebrating!
It is hard when the comments aren’t coming like you’d hope for! I think we’ve all been there. I hope your 2013 will be a great blogging year for you!
