Winter is here, and I have to tell you, it is my least favorite time of year. Between bitter temps and snow on the ground, Winter is not great for a sunshine-loving gal. So how do I combat that? Have a hot chocolate party, of course!
I have to tell you, there is nothing so comforting as being snuggled on the sofa with a warm, steaming cup of hot chocolate. And you can up the fun by having a hot chocolate party with the family. Today I am sharing why you should have your own hot chocolate party.
Hot Chocolate Party : Why You Should Have One
Reason Number 1: Let’s face it, who doesn’t love chocolate? The taste, the smell, well, it speaks for itself. Having a hot chocolate party is the ultimate comfort food. And with so many recipes available(I am including some awesome recipes from my fellow bloggers below, so keep reading), there is something out there to please everyone.
Reason Number 2: You can make it your own. Spend some time catching up with your kids. I love sitting on the sofa with my boys and hearing how their week is going. And having extra whipped cream is guilt free because, well, it just is. This Momma spares no whipped cream. Ever.
Reason Number 3: You can try something new with it. When Shari’s Berries* contacted me about crafting a post about a hot chocolate party, they sent along some amazing goodies to get me started. Combining these brownie pops and chocolate covered strawberries with the hot chocolate took the treat to the next level. This was one hot chocolate party that anyone would love attending.
Reason Number 4: It is a great escape from the busy holiday season. I work in retail, and this season was busier than usual. Having a hot chocolate party has allowed me to slow down and recharge my batteries. You can’t get much better having your own escape in the comfort of your own home.
