The calendar may be saying that Summer is over, but one glance at our family calendar will definitely tell another story. We are still heavily involved in our Fall baseball schedule. And that means games on busy school night.
Since I am a FT work-outside-the-home Mom, I often have to run to the game as soon as I leave work, which means dinner usually has to wait till after the game. Generally, I am exhausted by then, and really don’t want to cook.
But, thanks to Walmart and their #EffortlessMeals, I can make game day easy and have an amazing dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes.
I have a family of semi-fussy eaters. Most of us really love pizza, so getting Walmart’s #EffortlessMeals pizza was a great idea. Easy to locate, seconds to grab, and minutes to make, this meal really does make game day easy.
I really love that it was easy to find the #EffortlessMeals. You can’t miss the bright red signs throughout the stores, directing you to the amazing deals.
But, as most Moms know, there is always one child that doesn’t want to eat what everyone else wants to. So, while we were at Walmart, I took the time to grab a rotisserie chicken dinner for my youngest.
I knew he wouldn’t eat the entire chicken himself, but knew he wouldn’t eat pizza. So, not wanting to waste anything, I decided to turn our delicious cheese pizza into an upscale BBQ chicken pizza in under 5 minutes.
Make Game Day Easy With #EffortlessMeals:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- While oven is preheating, cut up the rotisserie chicken into small bite-size pieces.
- Coat chicken with your favorite BBQ sauce.
- Top pizza with chicken.
- Lightly season with garlic and onion salt.
- Add more BBQ sauce on top.
- Bake in oven as directed.
- Serve with a big glass of Coca-Cola.
That took less than 30 minutes from start to finish, and was a big hit with everyone in the family.
As for me, I knew that if I didn’t have a good meal at work before the game, I wouldn’t make it till the game was over. So, while I was there shopping for the pizza, I grabbed an #EffortlessMeals sandwich deal to eat for my lunch.
It was the perfect meal to keep my hunger at bay until we could have our main meal after the game.
