The Simple Woman’s daybook is one of my favorite blog memes to do. I always get lots of comments, visits, and encouragement when I write it. My daybook always combines little parts of my everyday life. Sometimes I feel like my life takes on such a hectic pace. Blogging about my week helps me to see what my week is like, and maybe figure out how to slow things down a bit. So I hope that you enjoy this post. And join in with the Simple Woman’s daybook as well.
Outside my window…It is rainy right now, but the sun is supposed to make its appearance later in the day.
I am thinking… That I am ready for baseball season to start. The boys started practice this week(inside at least), and they are ready to go.
I am thankful… I am thankful that I have such a wonderful husband. Perhaps I might have mentioned it before, but he still amazes me with what he does for me and our family.
In the kitchen… Quick and easy are on the menu again. One day is burgers and beans, next is breakfast for supper, and fundraiser hoagies are on the menu as well.
I am wearing… Dressed for church in a warm sweater, jeans, and cozy boots.
I am creating… A guest/party ready home. Next Saturday is my son’s birthday party and I need to get the house in shape!
I am going… To tackle my to-do list, and not just talk about it. I also want to work on more blog posts. I also want to see if hubby will take me to Target to get 2 new wire shelves. Our 2 that we use in the cellar to hold extra food are on their last leg!
I am wondering... If we will be able to get our deck done this year. It is really in bad shape, and for safety reasons we need to replace it……soon. We have a call out for an estimate, and I am praying that it won’t be out of our budget.
I am reading…Nothing right now.
I am hoping… That it will start to warm up. Can you tell that I am really ready for Spring?
I am looking forward to… Just being with my family. And making our home a haven. I am starting to look forward to our vacation in June to Wildwood, and a second road trip to Ohio/Wisconsin in July.
I am learning…That life is short, you have to make the most of it before it’s too late.
Around the house… Just trying to keep things presentable. Making sure I am making the beds daily, and that the sink is empty. It really makes a big difference. And doing at least one load of laundry a day. I am also trying to keep up with ironing. At last these things *must* be done before any blogging or networking starts. I did get the master closet done, and that made a big difference!
I am pondering… An easier way to plan Jeremy’s birthday party next month. Instead of stressing, I want to enjoy it.
A favorite quote for today… “Wait………..we have to run laps? What kind of practice is this?”
One of my favorite things… Sitting outside in the Spring, with warm sunshine, light breezes, and sunshine! Wait, didn’t I already say sunshine? Yes, I know. I am a broken record when it comes to the nicer weather.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
- Monday~Work, housework, and ironing.
- Tuesday~Work, making a phone call about the deck.
- Wednesday~Working, picking Johnny up from Science Olympiad, than running Johnny to confirmation. Hubby has an evening meeting for baseball.
- Thursday~Working, housework, and more laundry.
- Friday~Working, than relaxing. Watching “The Big Bang Theory” on DVD so we can start watching it in prime time.
- Saturday ~Sleeping in a bit, than stuff around the house. Hubby is taking his Dad to a hockey game for his birthday.
- Sunday~Baseball camp for Hubby and oldest, than Church, then relaxing at MIL’s and celebrating DFIL’s birthday, and Youth Group for the boys.
A peek into my day…

I’m with you on the weather. Winter has outstayed its welcome.
Good luck with getting the deck done. We just finished a huge remodel of the kitchen, and it was terrifying. Now that it is done and the bill is paid, I can say it was completely worth it.

I enjoyed reading your weekly planning. I do the same thing. It helps seeing it in black and white. Ready for spring, too, and we keep getting random snow showers! Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
