It seems sometimes like I am only writing a post with a specific goal in mind, like doing a sponsored post or participating in a specific blog meme. I never thought to just blog like I was having a conversation. So for the first day of the month, I am just going to blog like we are sitting in those beach chairs, enjoying our favorite beverages. So grab your drink, and let’s sit a spell and chat.
As you may have read before, we recently went on our favorite vacation to Wildwood, NJ. Yeah, I kind of talk about that. A lot. More than I should, I guess. But, what can I say? It is our best vacation ever.
I went back to work yesterday after having 12 days off. I am sure you will believe me when I say it was horrible? Not so much the working part, just the part where I had to leave the comfort of my own home. I had to laugh, my husband was only back to work 3 hours, and I missed him *horribly*. I was reading something on the internet, and I automatically wanted to share it with him, but I couldn’t because he was already back to work. Boo!
On the kid front, summer reading is in full swing, or at least it is supposed to be. I have no trouble reading during the summer, but my kids do. I just can’t understand it. But if you need help with that, P&Geveryday has a website that has lots of tips and tricks to help with homework!
I am starting to get my vacation packing list back out to prepare for our trip to Ohio to visit friends. My best friend’s daughter turns 10( wait, what? 10? Time sure does fly!). It is a 5 hour drive out there, which I proudly say that I sleep most of it! It will be great to have some good old-fashioned girl time. And we may try to get out to the football Hall Of Fame.
Back to the home front. I need to take my car to the body shop tomorrow to get started on the repairs I had from a hailstorm last month. It isn’t as bad as some people had it, but it is still annoying. The car is a lease, so having to pay for repairs and a rental while it is being fixed is upsetting. But such is life.
So that’s about it here. As always, there is good mixed in with the bad. Fun mixed with work. And just life in general. My life, which I wouldn’t trade for the world.
