I can’t believe that vacation is over already. It seems like I waited a lifetime for it, but in the blink of an eye, it’s all over. I can’t complain though, we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to be with the family, without all the pressures of everyday life. No one had to worry about cooking, or tossing in a load of laundry. There were no arguments about who was going to wash the dishes, run the vacuum, or put away the clean clothing. It was fantastic!
One of my favorite things was getting up in the morning to walk on the beach. It’s something that I haven’t done since hubby and I started dating. I completely forgot how absolutely soothing it is to walk along the shore, your feet squishing in the sand, and not having a care in the world! The first morning I went with my IL’s and my youngest. DH and oldest decided to sleep in, which was great considering how hubby never relaxes otherwise. So here are some of my favorite pictures from our first morning.
I am really glad that I took the time to get out of bed and go strolling on the beach. It helped me to remember that there is a whole bigger world out there, and that I should enjoy every second of it. Work troubles, life problems, all that can disappear, if only for a short while.
