As I am continuing to share our adventures on Florida Road Trip 2016, I want to talk about one of the fun places we went to visit in Disney Springs. The T-Rex Cafe Disney Springs was a place that has been on my bucket list for ages!
And, of course, my amazing husband made it come true! We made reservations for the Thursday night we arrived in Universal Studios Orlando. It was a short 20 minute drive from where we were staying, and it was a great way to relax after a full day of driving.
One of the great things I noticed about Disney Springs(more to follow in an upcoming post)is the great parking garages that were labeled by fruit. What an easy way to remember where you were parked, but I still took a picture of our parking spot.
Well after a short walk from the parking the garage, and a couple quick peeks at the map, we arrived at the main entrance.
After a quick check-in, we waited inside for our party to be called. I loved looking at the gift area while we waited.
A Look At The T-Rex Cafe Disney Springs:
I have to say, that if you have any kind of sensory issues, then the T-Rex Cafe Disney Springs is not for you. Between the lights and sounds, it can be quite overwhelming. Young kids may become frightened, so make sure you know how your child will react first.
After a short wait, we were taken to our table. I loved how different the seating areas were, and how each area had SO much to look at.
Excuse my crazy road trip hair. I had a hat on, so it was really kind of messy.
They had such a great selection on their menu. Of course, this Momma had to start with an adult beverage that came in a collectable glass. Something my husband knew I always wanted, so he let me get one. After much deliberation, I decided to order the pulled pork sandwich. I would love to share a picture with you, but I ate it before I could take a picture. Trust me when I say it was DELICIOUS!
So while we were waiting for our meal, we got to witness the “meteor shower”. It was loud, and noisy, and a lot of fun! Lights flickering, dinosaur roars, and a cool mist. Here is a picture from the cave next to where we were sitting.
After we were done eating and were digesting a bit, I walked around a bit and took a few more pictures.
And I had to run outside to grab a picture of this guy:
All in all, visiting the T-Rex Cafe Disney Springs was a fun experience that was just the beginning of our amazing stay in Universal Studios Orlando. Stay tuned for another post where I share some pictures from our time at Disney Springs.
