Medical malpractice is a serious problem in the city of Philadelphia, and throughout Pennsylvania as a whole. In fact, the problem is so apparent that in the year 2015 alone, there were 102 total medical malpractice verdicts issued by Pennsylvania courts; this number does not include the number of non-settled cases, nor the number of medical malpractice cases that were not pursued in court.
When a person is a victim of medical malpractice, they – and their family members – are often left with injuries that require emotional support, physical rehabilitation, and continual, ongoing care. For parents of children of birth injuries, this rings especially true.
