Today, my husband and I are chaperoning a trip with my son’s band to Hershey Park. It’s a great experience where the kids get judged by a panel of musical experts, and they are given feedback on their performance. For many kids, it is the first time outside of school that they are performing for a large audience. Last year was my husband’s first opportunity to chaperone a school trip, and I thought he did very well. I thought I would share from our trip last year, so you can see what we are doing today.

Okay, hard work is done, now it’s time to eat and then go on the rides.
This is a great opportunity for the children, the music teachers, and for the parents. It is so amazing to see the hard work these kids put in to their performance. And there are no trophies involved, this event is strictly for learning purposes. The trip to the park afterward is reward enough for many of these kids. I can’t wait to see how they have improved from last year!
