Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow. Oh HECK no! Winter has not even officially begun yet, and I am SO over it! I think I have mentioned many, many times before that I am a lover of sunshine! And warmth. And no snow! I am sitting on the sofa blogging, and it is flurrying outside. Again.
Have I mentioned, enough? I swear if this winter is like last winter, I am moving to Florida.
I am shivering just remembering this tiny storm from last year.
I think a lot of the winter dread is stemming from the fact that I am completely burned out on work already this season. I am not kidding. I am so over it! People and their absolute nastiness has turned what could be a fun time of year into a living nightmare. And the work isn’t the bad part. After all, it is work. It is supposed to be hard. I have no complaints about that.
It is the bad attitudes of customers that are doing me in. Again.
And I just want to break down and cry every other minute.
Sad and pathetic, right? I mean, why do people have to be so nasty? I am one person with two hands. I can only do so much at one given time. But it never seems to be enough anymore. There was a discussion on FB about someone complaining that the aisle was blocked in Walmart during the day so that workers could refill the shelves. And it was an inconvenience. It should be done at night.
People complain when there is no product out, and complain when we are trying to get product out. Guess we fail again.
Do people even get it? Do they honestly think that retail workers sit around and plan ways to make the shopping as painful as possible? Oh yeah sure. I know this person is in a total hurry, let’s make it hard on her by not getting product out and putting all kinds of obstacles in her way. Yeah, that is really what goes on. Totally.
Sigh. The holidays have turned me into a total Grinch!
In any case, when you are out doing your shopping, stop a moment and thank a retail worker. Smile. Say thank you. Above all, be patient. After all, how would you like to be told that you are working your hardest, but it still isn’t good enough? Not fun.
