I can’t believe that January is half over, and so far it hasn’t been a bad winter. But I still have the winter blues. The Christmas season was so busy, with no time to slow down. And while our winter has not been bad, so far, I am so ready for it to be over. Winter is just a bad time for me. I don’t like the dark, the cold, and especially the snow. We have been lucky to this point that we have only had a little bit. I shouldn’t be complaining, but I am literally begging for Spring. Dreaming of open windows, birds singing, green grass, and longer nights.

One of the first things I look forward to is time change. Even if it’s still cold out or if there is snow on the ground, having it light out longer makes it a big more easy to get through. I am very happy that it is at the beginning of March this year. Baseball season is one of the best things that helps combat the winter blues. We have some terrific baseball friends, and being with them really helps to combat those winter blues. Spring also means baseball, and we all know how much I love baseball season. For example, these are some of my posts regarding baseball:
These are just a few of my favorite posts regarding why I think Winter is not my favorite season. If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, I’d pack up my family and move somewhere warm. But since I dislike packing and organizing more, I think I will pull out an extra sweatshirt and fuzzy socks until Spring makes her appearance. And in the meantime, try not to think about the winter blues, and focus on the fact that it won’t be too long until I can see the flowers coming in.

I know it is still a long way off, but I just can’t wait!
Hey Gal! Thank you for your comment! I’m glad you liked the post. It’s good to hear from you again! I’m with you ALL THE WAY on Winter. I don’t like it either. I definitely get the “winter blues”. It seems it’s harder to get out of my depressive moods in the Winter time. I have been very relunctant to my husband’s idea of becoming a “snowbird” (going to warmer climates in the Winter) but this year I gave in. We are in Arizona until March. (He has already said next year, we’re leaving in November and staying here until May). I don’t like being away from my home Church, but I have to admit my moods have drastically improved. He and I haven’t argued nearly as often, and we are in VERY CLOSE quarters (28 foot travel trailer). So I guess I have to give in and say I wish I would have said yes a long time ago.

Well, I guess I’d better let someone else have a chance to comment. God Bless~

Jen,
Loved it! Loved your photos a great deal too!
I actually love some cold weather and rain and snow in my life. I think we need to switch climates with you!
But I love your attitude towards a warmer sweater and just rolling along with life!
Enjoy every season of it!
With love always!

Thanks for stopping in! I actually took those pictures with my point and shoot camera. Someday I hope to get a Canon or a similar DSLR camera so I can take even better pictures.

I live in the desert where the average temp is 80 degrees. It has been in the 40′s and 50′s lately and I am not happy. Today it got to 75 and it was so nice. I took my sweater off and enjoyed the sunshine, it rarely rains here. I don’t like that it gets dark at 5:00 but were on the move to spring. Hope it warms up for you.

I agree with you about loving spring and summer. We also haven’t had a bad winter, but I think I would rather have a little more winter than this really cold and then really warm weather we have been having. I think the changes are leading to alot of our sicknees.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
