Another Summer vacation is ending. If you were to speak to my kids right now, you would know that they aren’t happy about it.
Well, at least, I think they are not happy about it.
It has been a really interesting Summer, filled with lots of favorites, and a few firsts as well. I will miss the long summer nights the most. I may have mentioned a few zillion times that I definitely DO NOT like Winter.
But I really think the hardest thing to admit is that I will now have two kids in high school. How in the world did that happen?
I have to admit, life was very busy this Summer. Between Spring baseball, and now Fall baseball, I have had my share of driving around(also known as Mom’s Chauffeur Service). And I didn’t even do as much as I normally do because of work. Thankfully, I have the world’s best MIL, who helped us out a great deal.
A big deal this Summer was the fact that we made our first college visit with my son. I have to tell you, that was super hard for me. If I was ever in denial, that was the time. I will say, it gets easier each time you visit. It made me come to a very big conclusion.
I. Am. Getting. Old.
And, you know what? I don’t like it!
Before you say it is not something I can stop, I already know that. Just let me live in my bubble a little bit longer, okay?
Some other highlights this Summer included the following:
- Our annual trip to Wildwood, NJ.
- My sponsored posts for Project Envolve. Being an ambassador is an amazing opportunity, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
- Baseball, of course.
- Spending time with our friends in Ohio, and getting to have fun swimming.
- Planning more college visits for next year.
- Creating some new recipes.
Those are just a few things. I am in the process of working on some new things for the blog for Fall, along with a really cool surprise. While I can’t reveal it yet, be sure to stop back often for some hints.
What was your favorite thing about this Summer?
