Ah yes, it is the first Friday in November. That means that the holiday eating season will be upon us very soon. As much as I want to ignore it, I just can’t. Why? Because the scale is telling me otherwise. I try not to look at it, but sometimes you just can’t ignore what is staring right at you in the mirror. Closing your eyes and not looking in the mirror will not make it magically disappear. You need to work at it. Each day.
For today’s edition of fitness on Friday, I am going to list 3 goals I want to accomplish in the next week. Small stuff that will be attainable, and still make a huge difference. And truly, these are probably so beginner that I shouldn’t even be listing them as goals because they are something I should be doing everyday, regardless.
As you can see from the graphic, my #1 priority is to:
- Drink more water. I could list a million reasons as to why water is the best choice. But I won’t. My problem right now is that I drink too many of my calories. Between coffee, iced tea, and more coffee, my calories are out of control. Drinking enough water will help with food cravings, hydration, and skin tone. Oh wait, I wasn’t going to list all the benefits. Sorry.
- Get up and move. I am spending way to many hours on my butt working on my blog. I need to take 30 minutes out of the day to either go outside and walk or do a cardio tape. Simple, but effective.
- Watch my portions. Another, but simple method for taking care of your body. I eat way too much. Not because I am hungry, but because I don’t want to waste it. It is very comforting to have a meal with my family because we are so busy. I want to prolong it as much as I can, and eating more makes that possible. Not a good combination!
*Bonus item: Stop drinking so much Turkey Hill Iced Tea. I won’t even tell you how many calories are in a single glass, because I drink tons of it each and every day. I am almost embarrassed to admit it. To me, it is like liquid crack! So enough is enough.
Maybe this post should be renamed to healthy living on Friday because I listed more things about being healthy vs. fitness. But that’s really how I want to start this month off. I want fitness to be part of my healthy lifestyle, instead of being a separate part. The two should go hand in hand. So now that I was able to share my fitness on Friday, I am hoping that I will be able to have the motivation to really start and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Time is short, and I want to be the healthiest I can be during my time on Earth.
So tell me, what are your favorite fitness tips? How do you manage to juggle fitness and blogging? I am sure everyone will have some great suggestions! So grab a bottle of water and join me for some fitness on Friday.
