Today we celebrate a day where our military sacrificed their lives in order for us to have the ability to blog on the internet. To sit down with family and friends to feast on food, and just spend time together. For that sacrifice, I thank you!
If a blogger planned a picnic, what would you find?
A gourmet meal? A 10-course dinner? Of course not! After all, if you are a blogger and you planned a picnic, you would want to photograph it and then enjoy it.
So, really, if a blogger planned a picnic, what would it entail?
If A Blogger Planned A Picnic
Or, if a blogger planned a picnic, they would need a side salad to start this amazing feast. Rants From My Crazy Kitchen will steer you in the right direction with the recipe for Broccoli Cheddar Pasta Salad. Yum Yum, I want some!
If a blogger planned a picnic, you would need a nice light beverage to enjoy with all the great food. Hey, this is where I come in with my party punch recipe. Cool and refreshing, don’t you think?
If a blogger planned a picnic, they would definitely need a recipe for chicken. And where can we find that? Well, It’s A Keeper has a mouth-watering recipe for Spicy Roasted Chicken Legs. If that recipe doesn’t scream picnic, I am not sure what does. Just make sure you have lots of napkins to clean up all the juicy remains.
If a blogger planned a picnic, there would have to be some beans involved. Colleen has provided the answer to that delicious questions. How about some Sweet & Spicy Baked beans to be enjoyed with this spread of picnic foods. What are you waiting for? Run and get that recipe!
And if that blogger planned a picnic, she would make sure that there was a killer dessert to enjoy after all the regular feasting is done. This one took a little bit longer to find because there are so many choices out there in blog land. So what did I decide? Well, Peanut Butter Blossom cookies, of course. The Grant Life made that one easy with my attachment to all things peanut butter!
But, I then realized that the cookies would not be enough for a picnic. What other dessert could a blogger bring? That is easy! Strawberry Jello Cake from NEPA Mom. Light, fruity, and perfect for a holiday picnic. Hopefully I can share some with others.
So this is what would happen if a blogger planned a picnic. Good food, great drinks, and new ideas. The only other thing it needs to be perfect is for all the chefs featured in this post be hanging out together on a red checked blanket, feasting and sharing the joys of cooking and blogging.
If you were the blogger planning this picnic, what would you have included? I do have a sneaking suspicion I would add just one more thing:
Now it is the perfect picnic!
