Happy Sunday readers! It is an AMAZINGLY beautiful day here in PA. I am excited that it is nice enough to wash and hang out blankets. I don’t want to think about Fall, but I don’t want to wait until the last minute to get prepared for cooler weather.
I am so excited that my guy will be home this time next week. But I am also sad he will be only home for a week before he heads back to college.
AROUND THE HOME:
I am working hard to get cleaned up for our boy to home. Trouble is, I would rather be outside when it is this nice. In any case, I can’t wait for him to see his updated room.
Here is a preview of the finished room:
I am excited that he *finally* has a full-sized bed to match his adult body! I will be sharing a post on the blog shortly sharing the entire process. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. The room looks great, and I know that he will really enjoy it when here is here. After all, there is no place like home!
IN THE KITCHEN:
Planning hasn’t really been going well as I have been SO busy being excited about my boy being home. I will be using my slow cooker a lot, as it is time and energy-efficient. Being an ambassador for Project Envolve has taught me a lot about being energy-efficient, and I really need to step up my game. Stop back on the blog on Wednesday when I share how you can throw a home tailgating party AND be energy-efficient about it! Here’s a quick preview:
Sweet treats are definitely part of throwing a home tailgating party. See how you can enjoy your family without using a lot of electricity. You will be amazed!
ON THE BOOKSHELF:
I am really excited that I received an advanced reading copy of Lisa Scottoline’s new book! Stayed tuned for a review, as she is the first mystery writer that I have read on a consistent basis.
NEW ON THE BLOG:
What’s new on the blog? Well other than the upcoming Project Envolve post, I am gearing up for the Fall by sharing some great picture books to prepare your child for kindergarten. School will be here before you know it!
So thank you stopping in for Jennifer’s Journal. I am also conducting a blog survey, and would appreciate it if you could take a moment to fill it out!
See you next time and have a wonderful week.
