Welcome to September! It is so hard to believe that it is this time of year already. This Mom loves the long days of Summer, and I hate that it is getting dark earlier each night. But with those early nights comes one of my favorite seasons. Football season!
Yeah, I admit it. I LOVE football. Pro and college football are my two absolute favorites. If you know me at all, you would be able to tell me right off what my favorite football team is. Both pro and college. But since many of you are new readers, I will clue you in: I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan AND a Penn State Nittany Lions fan.
Of course, you would know that we love the Nittany Lions. After all, our son goes there now. It is amazing to see how much fun the kids were having in the student section.
I can’t wait till we can get back to seeing this amazing landmark! January will be here before you know it. Oldest is doing better each and every day with his recovery. He is now really frustrated with the limitations of his brace. I keep telling him to be patient, and good things will come. I don’t even mind the eye roll because it truly means he is getting back to his old self.
It is really nice that the Penn State Parents still have our backs. I am sad that we will miss the Fall foliage during our visits this Fall. When I mentioned I needed someone to send me pictures, once again, everyone chimed in and said they can help. They are also a great sounding board for all the controversial topics going on as well. We may not always agree with each other, but we all have two things in common: wanting the best for our children and supporting a university that has brought us all together as one family.
As for me, I have been working hard on trying to get my blog pageviews back up. Now that I have more time to work on my blog and promote the topics, it is slowly getting back up there. I have a long way to go, but at least things are starting to look up.
So here are some of the things I have been sharing this week:
I shared my weekly menu plan, and guess what? We actually stuck to it! Score!
I wrote this very important post about the 3 things you should do before your child leaves for college. Once again, this post was inspired by the Penn State Parents, and I am hoping that it will help all the college-bound parents and students out there.
Since I am home, I am trying to be productive around the house as well. Here I am sharing some Fall cleaning tips for outdoor spaces.
And while my kids no longer need a lot of school supplies, there are plenty of parents out there looking for the perfect back-to-school accessories for their kids. Here are some of my favorites.
So that is where life is right now for us. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the Nittany Lions beat Akron 52-0 in the season opener. Next week, Pitt is on the schedule. It should be an awesome game. All I can say is: #WeAre
Have a wonderful week!
