Wow! I can’t believe it is October already. This year has been going extremely fast. Of course, it hasn’t been an easy year, at least since August. But don’t get me wrong, there have been some pretty awesome times. For instance, our vow renewal in May.
That was definitely pretty awesome. I wish we could be there right now, but the real world beckons us. Sometimes, being a grown up is not any fun. But in any case, I am definitely enjoying the Fall weather right now. At least until the 80 degree weather comes back on Thursday.
Speaking of Fall, I have to share this fun tidbit. My youngest son was at a football game Friday evening. To all my Penn State Parents that read this, it is the very same high school that our favorite running back graduated from. You know, #26. I think it is neat that my oldest son graduated from there, AND so did I(you know, back in the stone ages). I loved the piece that ESPN did last week that showed the school. A reminder that athletes from smaller high schools can succeed in college sports.
And while our high school team didn’t win Friday night, our college team did. Yes, our Nittany Lions beat the Hoosiers 45-14. Way to go! And, as always, #WeAre!
As for everything else, we are still in a holding pattern. Oldest is continuing to recover. Getting impatient to be rid of his turtle shell. He goes for his next follow-up the week of Thanksgiving. If all goes well, he will only be about 6 weeks from heading back to college. In any case, 2 weeks to go until we head back to Happy Valley. Berkey Creamery, here we come! I am hoping to meet a few of my fellow Penn State Parents.
So that’s my update. I missed last week because our friends were here visiting, and I didn’t have time to get a lot of blogging done. See you next time!
