We are starting a new era in our family’s life. Our oldest is beginning the path to finding a college. It is hard to believe that we have reached this junction in our life.
I am glad that we are getting a head start on this journey. There is a lot to consider, far more than when my husband and I went to college. How about you?
So, today I am sharing about our wonderful experience with Juniata College. If you are in the market for a small-town college with large-scale degrees, than Juniata College should make your list of must-visit colleges.
Let me preface this post by saying this entry is not sponsored by the college. This is just me, as a Mom, sharing about a great experience while we were visiting Juniata College.
I also want to share that this was not my son’s first experience with Juniata College. As I have mentioned several times before, my son is heavily involved in Science Olympiad. He has been to the college several times for the state Science Olympiad finals, and has enjoyed being at the campus.
4 Great Reasons To Visit Juniata College:
- Personal Touch. Before a single person said a word to us, we were greeted in the Admissions Center with this:
Talk about making a great first impression. It made my son, and the rest of the family, feel like he wasn’t just another applicant, but rather he was being seen as an individual.
- Beautiful Campus. Juniata College is located in Huntingdon, PA and the campus is amazing! For being a small-town, this campus is enough to make anyone feel comfortable and like they can truly fit in.
- Options. Yeah, this may seem like a broad term, but it is the only one I found fitting. From the great degree programs to the numerous activities, each student can find their niche at Juniata College. Don’t see a club for you? Don’t worry, Juniata College is all about making the experience yours. Our tour guide told us that you can start a club at any time.
- Follow Up. One of the biggest things that stood out to me about this visit to Juniata College was the personal contact after the visit. Both our tour guide and the assistant dean of admissions took the time to send hand-written notes to my son. That stood out to me, and is something I will remember when it comes to assisting our son when making his college decision.
So there are just a few great reasons for your to visit Juniata College in PA. Your son or daughter will get a high-quality education with the community feel of a small town. What parent could ask for more?
