Have you heard the news?
There is one tough lady swimming around the waters of the East Coast these days. Know her? Meet Mary Lee! I can’t believe I am so fascinated by this big lady, considering we are in the middle of a water vacation where she is happily hanging out.
Mary Lee was first tagged off the coast of New Jersey, near my favorite vacation spot: Wildwood NJ. Glad I didn’t see her when we were there the last time. She is really pretty though.
But I am still fascinated. If you are a big fan of sharks, I am sure that you have seen Shark Week. I know that it is one series I have been watching as a teenager. A couple of friends and I would get together and watch it, and it was the best time ever. I had the amazing opportunity to visit the Camden Aquarium for my very own version of shark week!
So I thought I would share some of my favorite children’s books about sharks. Now that summer is rolling around, the requests are coming in more and more frequently! I amazed that kids are so fascinated by sharks and want to learn more about them!
So here are some great non-fiction and fiction kids will enjoy that will satisfy their appetite for knowledge.
