Winter is trying to make an appearance in my end of the world today. This Mom has a bunch of running to do, so it is not a welcome sight. I would rather be at home curled up with a good book, fuzzy socks, and my warm blanket.
In the meantime, I thought I would share some snow day soup recipes that I found from some of my favorite bloggers. When it is cold and snowy, there is nothing like a nice bowl of soup to warm you up and fight off the cold.
I just wish I had a loaf of warm bread to go with it. Something I will definitely remember for next time. If you have a great homemade bread recipe, please leave a link to it in the comments!
I love a steaming bowl of soup on a snowy day. One of my favorite soups to eat is chicken noodle soup. Simple, easy-to-make, and tasty, too. I just realized that I never shared my own recipe on the blog, so I definitely will need to do that the next time I make it.
Slow cookers are great during the winter because you can make many recipes in the crockpot. Soup is particularly easy in the slow cooker. Not only do you get a tasty meal, but you also save time and money in the kitchen when you use your slow cooker. There is nothing like coming home from a busy day at work and smelling a yummy soup recipe waiting for you!

The possibility of snow day soup recipes are absolutely endless! The best thing about these recipes I have shared is they came from some terrific bloggers that I am friends with. I wish I could sit down and share a bowl with them right now.
