Hello! Welcome to the State of the Blog Address for 2017. It has been awhile since I have actually had a chance to sit down and write a post for Making Our Life Matter. The holiday season in retail is absolutely no joke what-so-ever. It drains you, it challenges you, it makes you want to quit life. It made me forget what it is I love about blogging.
This crazy time period has also made me question if I want to keep blogging. I am so exhausted when I come home from work, I just want to curl up on the sofa and snooze. Apparently my George thinks I need to as well:
So right now, it seems like my blog is not my top priority. It angers me because I put so much heart and effort into it, even if I am not getting the results that I *think* I deserve. And that makes me want to just quit. And wanting to quit makes me angry.
So the question is: where do I go from here? Do I keep plugging along? Do I just give in and give up? Do I stop running the blog how I want to or how I think the search engines want me to?
Right now, I have NO answers to those questions. And when you have no clear answers, then don’t make a rash decision.
So, for now, I am going to just take a step back and BREATHE. And plan. And breathe some more.
As far as top things for 2017, nothing really tops my 20th anniversary trip with vow renewal.
I could describe everything about it here, but it would take way too long! So instead, hop on over to my Jamaica archives to read more about it. These memories will help keep me warm in this weather.
So for now, that is where Making Our Life Matter stands. Here’s to 2018, may it be successful for all of us!
