Today has been a very annoying day. I was supposed to be at work, looking forward to having a good day and being able to see my son’s baseball team play a game tonight. It would be the first one this season since I switched jobs at work. But, my body had other plans. Only I can get the flu(or flu-like virus) in mid-May, and have to be stuck in bed. Talk about my miserable luck.
I was supposed to do a pasta recipe round-up for today. But since I slept for 29 out of the last 36 hours, I didn’t have time to get it together. But I will, I promise!
Throwback Thursday: Wildwood
Instead, I decided to make myself feel better by reliving some of my favorite Wildwood vacation posts from the past. I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about it. After all, it is only Wildwood. It’s not like I am talking about something super exciting, like Disney(I never realized how many Disney bloggers there are in the world. I haven’t been there since 2005), but it is still important to me and my family.
As I sit here trying not to nod off and drool on my laptop, I keep saying that my favorite vacation will be here before I know it. That all this anticipation and planning and hard work will pay off that first moment when I am standing on the edge of the Boardwalk, seeing the waves crashing on the beach, hearing the cry of the seagulls, and smelling all the smells associated with the ocean. And, most importantly, the look of utter contentment on my family’s faces.
Back on task.
Here are some of my favorite Wildwood posts from years past. They may not be my best posts, but the concepts are they. They show my favorite things about Wildwood!
- A great vacation starts with a great play to stay. Here I am blogging about our favorite motel, the LeVoyageur Motel. Family time starts with togetherness, and this is a great place to be together.
- And you can’t talk about vacation in Wildwood without talking about fun! Here are a few ways we play when we are on vacation in Wildwood.
- And no vacation post is complete until you talk about food! Here are some of our favorite places to eat while we are on the Boardwalk. As I type this, I can practically taste the great food we will be eating. Is it June yet?!?!?
- Vacation is also a great time from reading. Here are some of the things from my past reading lists.
So that is my Throwback Thursday post about Wildwood. Now that I am sitting here blogging about it, the misery of my current state seems so far away. The ocean really is magical. Or at least the thought of it. What is your favorite vacation spot?
