Weekly menu planning is one of the best tools for working Moms, stay-at-home Moms, and families, too. Recently I participated in the BiAnnual Blogathon Bash 2, and my topic was tips for working moms to manage home and blogging. I realize now that I could have really expanded my post with a few homemaking tips. My top one? Weekly menu planning, of course. See how I wrote it out on a piece of paper, and taped it to the cabinet? Now I don’t have to hear what’s for dinner! And, it is a great reminder to me what I need to take out of the freezer, or bring upstairs before I leave for work.
Weekly Menu Planning For The Last Week In January
- Sunday: Stuffed shells and Italian bread.
- Monday: Easy Chicken Alfredo
- Tuesday: Sausage, noodles, and choice of vegetables.
- Wednesday: Chicken enchiladas
- Thursday: Out to eat because we have haircuts.
- Friday: Cheesesteaks and pizza and pierogies from our local pizza parlor.
- Saturday: Steaks from Wegman’s with all the fixings.
I always seem to do better when I plan my menu each week. We even stay on a sort of food budget. Did you happen to notice that we seem to love chicken and pasta? I need to plan to improve on some of those chicken choices by substituting healthier choices. Do you have any suggestions? Of course, things always change, especially on the nights when hubby is late, or I just don’t feel like cooking. But it is a great start, and great starts always lead to good things. If you want to get further inspiration, check out my other menu planning entries. So that is what is cooking in my house, now it’s your turn.
So now that I have shared my menu plan for the week, what is cooking in your house?
